I’ve got a great list of books and podcasts I’m working on this month.
I’m also peppering my reading list with the occasional middle grade or YA fiction – some I am prereading for my younger kids, and a couple just because they are fun to read.
So far, most of my time has been spent listing to Welcome to the Orthodox Church – it is a wonderful book, and the audible is narrated by the author herself. She gives an thorough but easy to understand explanation of not only Orthodox church services, but also the theology basics that are most likely to surprise or confuse someone new to the faith and traditions. It came highly recommended by others, and I can see why. I am glad I chose this book for my first deep dive into Orthodox Christianity.
My other main focus has been on How Not to Diet. The author has put gone through a ton of studies in the literature, and has put together an easy to understand narrative of what our body needs, and how the food we eat affects us.
